Did you know yesterday was "Ditch Your Resolution Day"?!?! To be honest I laughed a little to think there was a day designated for ditching our goals because I'm sure someone "created" it to be funny.
I realize that everyone is not in to setting new goals each year but the truth is the only way to get better and live a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life is to set goals and then to work towards them! They don't have to be big goals but we should always be striving to being a better person, every single day.
So what happens?
Most of us quit because we don't know how to reach our goals aka we don't have a plan and think it should organically happen or that it only happens to the "lucky" people. But the truth is 99.9% of progress will not organically happen. It takes intentional and purposeful planning. 9 times out of 10, it takes commitment to asking for help, surrounding yourself with like minded people and being willing to put in the work, even if it's small steps, every single day!!! And not everyone is willing to do that. That's why only 8% of people reach their goals.
Personally, I would love to see that number skyrocket!!!! I'm curious, where are you on the continuum? Did you set goals for 2020? If so, are you still working on them? Trying to figure out how to.work on them? Or have you given up?
Better yet, do you think it's hogwash to set goals?
