Wanted to throw up a post from arm day yesterday not because it’s very impressive(as you can tell by how bad my arms look) but to prove that I do have an arm day. I wrote a blog post awhile back about training arms as a powerlifter, if you want to do it it’s possible. You should go read that post it’s great 😎. It might not be the best idea but if you’re like me it’s enjoyable and I do it because I want to . I have no plans on competing in the near future so I figured why not add a 5th training day that’s all biceps, so I did and apparently I glow in the light on bicep day 💁‍♂️😂 These are preacher curl 21s with 60lb. Did 5 sets of these. Each set is superset with @coreprodigy fat grip hammer dumbbell curls here 30s x7 and 20s x7. Earlier sets went higher into the dumbbells for regular curls. Awesome pump from these sets. Really big fan of super sets and triple sets for arms. Nice little arm day finisher 💪 I call it the push-pull ladder, genius I know 😅 It essentially mimics my burpee ladder exercise. Perform 1 chin-up then immediately perform 1 push up, without rest perform 2 chin-ups then 2 push ups, climbing the ladder until you fatigue at that number. This is one of my favorite moves! Give it a try on your next #armday 💪🏻 . . Core tight, chest lifted, shoulders down, weight evenly distributed as you lunge straight down. Start slow, progress to 3 second presses and end with single presses. I’m using a 10 lb weight for the press and a 5 lb for the lateral hold! 🔥 . . Do you ever get the blues after sifting through the“perfect” women’s profiles on Instagram?! ⁣ ⁣ It’s so nice to have instant access to the motivation I receive from Insta, but at times Instagram can get me DOWN...⁣ ⁣ There are so many beautiful women whom may be perceived as perfect. Perfect body, hair, house, pet, etc. It’s so easy to look at others beauty and think badly of yourself after comparisons.⁣ ⁣ The sad truth is when we start comparing ourselves to others we forget that most of us use filters, good angles, proper lighting, and much more to enhance our pictures. Just remember the admin is in control of what’s posted. Some users may not bring to light the real aspects of life such as sweating bullets, trashy hair, sweat pants and baggy shirts, etc. but I can guarantee they’re just as imperfect as the person sifting through their profile. ⁣ ⁣ At the end of the day, we’re all humans just trying to achieve being our best. Never allow yourself to get dragged down. Always find a way to overcome. ⁣ ⁣ If you’re struggling to overcome low self esteem here are some tips:⁣ ⁣ •if you’re not working out START! Close grip push ups are no joke 😉 As though all the challenges weren't enough, push ups are also a part of my usual program! ⠀ ⠀ There's a lot more tricep action when doing this variation! My triceps are one of my stronger upper body muscles, but I'm finding these are a lot harder than regular push ups and can only hit about 10 reps. I'll be definitely doing more of these to help substitute for the dips I've been missing so much 😭⠀ ⠀ P.S. You guys must be pretty well acquainted with my floor by now, sorry 😂
