If only everyone can understand this, trust me when I say this, your fat loss journey will be much more peaceful, entirely more satisfying and way more enjoyable. Listen folks, I need you to understand that hopping on to the scale every time hoping for a shift downwards in number is slowly killing you even if you don’t think it that way. Your journey is NEVER gonna be a linear graph downwards. Ever. If it is for a couple of months that’s great but even if it stops a few months after that, it doesn’t mean it’s not great. Staying at a certain weight for a few months is okay. The scale going up every now and then is okay. What’s not okay is beating yourself up just because the scale is not going at a way you hope it would be. Show some self compassion and stop looking at outcomes like these. Focus on your behaviour every single day instead. Or look at non scale victories. And for the record, chill the heck out. Trust me with this, the more chill you can be at your journey, showing up genuinely to your workouts and your nutrition, the faster your journey would be. Instead of asking why the scale is not moving, how about asking how you can chill a little more or how you can focus on your workouts and nutrition a bit more. Trust the ride. It’s gonna be filled with ups and downs, it’s gonna stall sometimes and like life, it’s so damn predictable. So enjoy it. And stop expecting the numbers to go down. Focus on doing and not hoping. For a very long time I absolutely hated taking pictures. You’d rarely ever see me taking a “mirror selfie” or letting someone take a full body photo. It was always about “the angles” so I would look as skinny as I possibly could. I normally wouldn’t be caught dead posting this photo. I stare at it and I can think about it how fat I look. - - But I stepped out of my comfort zone and posted it on my personal page and I didn’t get chewed apart like my mind kept telling me I was going to. - - I’m learning to accept my body and know that I’m working everyday so hard to make it the body I want. I AM PATIENT .... .......... .............. 😂 not really 🤷‍♀️ When I first started my post partum fitness journey, I was 7 weeks PP and had it in my mind that I would lose 15 lbs in 3 weeks and the workouts would come natural to me. I mean, I’ve always been somewhat athletic...how hard could an at home fitness program be 🤔 So let me say this....that is MOT how my first month went down! I lost 5 lbs...which was a little upsetting and depressing to my “can do anything” attitude 🤣 but have you ever looked up how much 5 lbs of fat actually is...go google it, it’s incredibly fascinating! I’ll wait... . . Did you look it up?! Crazy huh?! 5 lbs is nothing to scoff at but had it not been for my support group my coach was running, I probably would have given up because I was upset it wasn’t happening fast enough. It was in that group that I learned what a healthy weight loss actually is (1-2 lbs a week) and it was more important to pay attention to body measurements than the scale-I had lost 10 inches overall 🙌 Now let’s talk about that “easy” workout program...it was anything but easy! My body was SO weak from not exercising or strength training through pregnancy that I had ZERO muscle tone ANYWHERE, I couldn’t do a sit up, push-up or hold a plank. I couldn’t run longer than a few minutes in the cardio section without gasping for air 🙈 I had to MODIFY almost every single move my first month. Where a lot of people might get frustrated with that, to me it was a WAKE UP CALL...I was completely out of shape and I knew I had to stick to this because I was a mom of two boys and I didn’t to be the mom on the side lines of my kids’ lives ✌️ Since then I have learned that PATIENCE is one of the hardest parts of your fitness, weight loss or strength gain goals. So if you just started and are feeling frustrated by the scale...please don’t quit! Even if you don’t lose a single pound for a month, you’re still doing your body and mind a great service through exercise. If you’re still not seeing changes but are exercising, then there’s a few things we can look at to get you past a plateau. Be consistent and change will come. . . . #weightlossjourney #workoutinspo

Trusting the process but learning along the way... - - First, I want to say I’ve always struggled with so many things in powerlifting. But, since I got with my coach @j_oly15 . A lot has changed not just my form or strength what has changed is how I approach my everyday life to make me a better powerlifter. Justin helps me with my diet. Everyday and every moment I’m thinking of what time my next meal should be and I’m more conscious of the things I let my body consume day in and day out. - - Being with @j_oly15 has surrounded me around people who are not only strong but who focus on detail which makes there techniques better and better. Some of you may laugh because they are girls but I’ll put them over a lot of male lifters. I tend to watch @breatine_pwr & @lin_rosss videos to see what they are doing and what I’m doing in my squats. Yes everyone body is different but they are great for a reason. It has taken months and months of frustrating moments in the gym knowing I’m not hiting depth, or I’m taking a big breathe for no reason or I’m uneven or to far apart with my feet placement and the list goes on and on. - - My forms not perfect but it’s better than last week and the week before that. It’s a leaning curve but I do know @j_oly15 and his team has given me a lot of knowledge and help me create a lot of habits to be a better lifter. For example after every set I am looking at my last set on my camera to criticize myself to be better my next set. I’ve never took the time to do stuff like that. - - If it wasn’t for the clients and the mindset my coach has I wouldn’t be improving every day and week. Moral of the story get a good coach. Have you ever fallen victim to experiencing fat loss to then only shortly after gain more weight than you originally lost? This classic case of rebounding after dieting often occurs in the case of aggressive low calorie fad diets that are focused on extreme calorie cutting, food reduction and minimal diet sustainability. __ Every person has a "body-fat set point," which is the body-fat level our body is accustomed to and will attempt to maintain itself, this number varies from person to person. You can work out all you want but at the end of the day it really comes down to what you put in your body in order to fuel it. Everyone has cheat days don’t get me wrong, but if your eating like crap don’t expect the 5 star results, especially if your hitting up McDonald’s a few times a week. It all comes down to what you are trying to achieve though. Someone like me who’s looking to gain weight and muscle needs to be on a high protein high carb diet, and be at a caloric surplus by the end of the day. Someone looking to lose weight needs to be in a caloric deficit by the end of the day and will obviously need less carbs and protein. So it’s up to you to find out about what your diet needs to be for the results you’re looking to get. Как похудеть? ▫️ Научиться чувствовать голод и не игнорировать сытость. Важно отличать моральный голод, когда просто хочется вкусненького,от реального.Также для меня нет никаких обязательных церемониальных завтраков или обедов.Когда хочу,тогда и ем. ▫️ Можно бесконечно творить чудеса из продуктов по миллиону рецептов, но помешательству на еде в моей голове места нет.Не люблю многокомпонентные блюда и салаты. ▫️ ЗаГугли разок и ознакомься с калорийностью разных продуктов.Хотя бы приблизительно будешь знать,что тебе не нужно. ▫️ Следи за жирностью рациона, но не в том смысле,чтобы исключать жиры.В кондитерских жирах в сладком нет ни чего полезного. ▫️ Я не вижу ничего дурного в чаепитии с конфетами в гостях. Можно отказаться от сладкого и не похудеть, если переедать в целом.А если не переедаешь,то полный отказ от сладкого абсурден.Но и превращать это в традицию- нет! ▫️ Худеть можно разными способами: ограничениями по продуктам, порциям и калориям; давиться одним продуктом, чтобы много не хотелось; верить в чудодейственные свойства одного продукта.Но можно не усложнять жизнь и использовать свои предпочтения во благо фигуре.У каждого из нас есть свой внутренний компас, который лучше посторонних людей укажет правильный путь к похудению. Главное- прислушиваться к себе, выбирая опытным путём максимально комфортный режим. Для меня гармония- не зависеть от психологического голода,относится к еде проще. Вместо тысячи диет проще просто ввести порядок в собственной голове и создать свою индивидуальную диету. ▫️ Есть такие, которые крутят пальцем у виска-зачем тебе шпагат,турник, пилон.Какие челленджы! During Fasting hours: Black Coffee in the morning. #education is key #knowledge is power 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 Too often I get asked to write meal plans. In my opinion this is for lazy people. People who don’t want to empower themselves. People who don’t want to learn. People who don’t want to take ownership of their goals. Not only is there no “one size fits all” meal plan (even though many fitness icons promote this 🙄) such meal plans have set foods. So what if you eat out? Or it’s your birthday? Or you don’t feel like those options? Or someone buys you food? I teach my clients how to determine their own daily #calorieintake and #macros and then how to use MY FITNESS PAL to record what they eat and make sure they are hitting their numbers. This allows for flexibility in your #diet and leads to greater adherence, not to mention something you can maintain for a lifetime ( not like short term #faddiets ) However this way requires you to learn, be diligent and take ownership of what you’re doing. This scares people. SEEING BEYOND THE BOOTY. These days everyone wants a nice butt, and not like the 90s when it was all about little toned "buns of steel." Now we're in the age of bigger is better! And though I don't disagree with this I will strongly suggest that ladies focus on developing more then just their glutes. Why? Because one, it's aesthetically imbalanced ( but to each their own). And two, any muscle that is grown out of proportion with the others causes muscular imbalances. And that leads to joints being shifted out of alignment. Sounds painful doesn't it? So instead of focusing on 4 glute days a week, consider a workout split that incorporates quads, hams, and upper body as well!
