If you are stuck trying to figure out how to file your taxes, here's a few resources for you!
1) The IRS has free tax filing software available for those whose income levels are below $69k. You can browse different products and services with the following link. These are companies that have teamed up with the IRS. You can also go through a series of questions the IRS put together for you to figure out which one is best to use! https://apps.irs.gov/app/freeFile/
2) Tax Act - This is another free option, and one that I have used with a client of mine. It's pretty easy to navigate, might take a little time getting used to the navigation of the website. I would suggest to move slowly through this software, so you don't miss anything!
3) Turbo Tax - By far one of the most popular services to use to file your tax return. This is also my personal favorite. One of the benefits is the ease of knowing that Turbo Tax is going to ask you all the questions, you can chat with an expert live, or you can take a look at each form as they are presented by the IRS. This is going to cost a little bit of money, but I feel like it's worth it to get some peace of mind.
4) CPA / EA / Accountant - And, last but not least, you can also hire someone to do the job for you! This is going to be the most expensive of them all. But, in order to ensure that you are getting the best refund possible. It might be time to hire a professional if you have had some major life changes over the course of 2019. The most common examples of this would be: purchased a house, got married, had a child, or started a business.
