How to BULK🦍🌟 The first thing to know about bulking is that you need to eat MORE calories than you burn! Studies have shown that 2,800 calories are needed to build ONE POUND of muscle (in one month)! 🦍Most importantly though, you should add 250-500 calories to your existing diet right now. If you add too many calories, the rest will turn into excess fat! Like most things, this will be a trial and error for everyone until you are happy with where you are at. I would give it a couple weeks before you find what suits you best! Don’t put too much stress on it! Be patient! 🦍Now, figuring out what to eat can be hard. Do I eat carbs? Do I eat some junk food? Do I eat protein? YES PROTEIN! Protein will be your best friend when bulking. By consuming protein 15-20 minutes before, during, and up to an hour after your workout can help improve muscle growth. 💥HOW TO GET MORE SLEEP💥 Are you struggling to get enough sleep every night with all the stress right now? - When you're not getting enough sleep every night your testosterone levels drop, cortisol levels rise, and your performance falls off. - This is an issue because is slows down muscle growth, fat loss, and leaves you without energy to tackle your goals. - This what you NEED to start doing in order to sleep more, have more energy, increase your testosterone, and start seeing progress again! - STOP CAFFEINE BY 4 PM Since I am very caffeine sensitive I cut off caffeine even earlier. By cutting it off early you are ensuring that you wont still be wound up by the time your ready to go to sleep. Drink water instead for the rest of the day. - HAVING A SLEEP SCHEDULE Know you need to get 7-8 hours of sleep per night? Have to get up at 5am tomorrow? Then you know you need to be asleep at the latest 10pm every night. - REVERSE ALARM CLOCK Now you know the time you need to go to bed to by to get the amount of sleep you need? Great! Now set an alarm for an hour before that time to let you know its time to start winding down for bed time. - TURN OFF ELECTRONICS When that reverse alarm goes off you need to turn of the tv, your phone, and shut the laptop. This is your time to clean around the house, lay out your clothes for tomorrow and pack your gym bag. Use this for quality one on one time with your family and significant other.
