“The best routines are ones that are solid yet flexible” - Saneishly Minimal. The content of my routines never stay the same, but the framework does. I have used the @trelloapp to log our household routines. I use time blocking (because it is the realistic way when you have a family) to create routines for our home and for our personal daily requirements. The app alerts me when tasks and/or activities are due, which allows more space in my mind for focusing on spending time with family and being in the moment. Our routine is flexible because, if we are unwell, need to rest, or just want to spend extra time together we choose too. So then, the routine’s framework is still there for the next day. To pick up where we left off, feeling fresh and ready to get stuff done. Self care and love is the biggest priority. Rituals. Something that’s been in the talks these past weeks as we all find more time to set in place daily ritualistic habits. I’ve re-inspired to journal after months of neglect and to place importance into making it a daily practice to write, even if only a few words to release pent up thought-forms from the mind. In the midst of this experience we’re all living, I believe that we all need to process and navigate in our own unique ways. ✨ But the one thing I imagine we can all afford to do is find some peace of mind and quiet in the midst of the chaos. ✨ My anxiety was at an all time high about five years ago which led me to trying different ways of learning how to understand myself and my mind. ✨ One of the tools I use on a daily basis to keep myself grounded is meditation. If you’ve never tried it, or feel it hasn’t worked, it’s really just sitting in silence to find some space between your thoughts. ✨ If you’re the person who thinks you can’t sit still or quiet long enough to meditate, then it will definitely be good for you. ✨ I wrote down for you three of my biggest suggestions for getting started or reconnecting to your own meditation practice. (Link in bio). ✨ What we need today is very different than what we needed even just a month ago. As social distancing is the order til April 30...the days are starting to feel all alike. I was in a horrible mood earlier. Just sad and annoyed and moody. So I went outside... and instead of digging into my children’s candy, I grilled veggies and chicken. One small win at a time. Sometimes that’s all we need to turn our days around. Stop breaking promises to yourself! It crushes something inside of you each time that you do. Want to get in shape? DO it. Want to drink all the water? DO it. Want to get out of debt, go on daily walks, do a daily devotional, get closer to God, stop screaming at your kids, stop procrastinating, start your own business? DO IT! This quarantine can either be viewed as a blessing or a curse. Either way, you’re right! If you want something out of this life that you don’t have, then you have to start with YOURSELF. Trust yourself by keeping the promises that you make. Make a plan. Follow through. It’s that simple. I promise. (See what I did there?)

Survival Sunday: How’s everyone doing out there?? I ran out of projects to do around the house 😂 So, I’ve been hiking, running, and bike riding close to home. We are practicing social distancing, going places that are less crowded, and trying to limit our grocery visits. I’m trying to stay active everyday to help me mentally. I’m also working on training for Mountain Rescue, having Zoom meeting happy hours with friends, family, and my team. If you have a.d.d like me you may find it hard to stay focussed. You learn something cool or exciting and want to implement it straight away or start a new project. As a result you get a back catalogue or partially complete tasks that only get bigger. What i suggest is make a list of all your incomplete tasks and either finish them or delete them forever. By wiping the slate clean you will have more mental bandwidth to attack your new important projects. Do this periodically like every quarter both individually and with your teams. You will see a massive difference!

This transformation? It didn't happen overnight. 🙅‍♀️I don't believe in quick fixes, crash diets, or magic pills 💊. • Instead, I made the decision to be the best version of myself that I could be! • ✨ I worked out in my living room for 30 minutes a day. ✨ I ate delicious, healthy, whole foods 80% of the time... and still indulged in pizza 🍕 and chocolate 🍫 the other 20%. Life is about balance, not deprivation. ✨ I drank a delicious shake 🥤everyday, which replaces my vitamins and probiotics, helps keep my energy ⚡️ up, and is the best fast food you can get for your money. ✨ I joined a community of others doing the same things. We support, motivate, and commiserate with each other. I'd have quit a long time ago if I didn't have this community. • I still do these things. Drinking a lot of water is a good habit, but I`ve always struggled to build it in my life. The temptation to drink some pop or juice was always stronger than the idea of drinking plain water. So I said stop to the coke but fell into arms of another addiction - A&W, surprising for me this drink has much more calories than coke 🙄 I realize there is a lot of different discussion about consuming water, some research talking about the necessity of it and some - opposite. Personally, I found water as an essential product for my body and skin to help it look healthy. Every month since I`ve started bullet journaling, I choose one or two habits that I am working on. The month of April is dedicated to healthy eating and drinking a lot of water. YOU have the power to change your beliefs about yourself - your identity is not set in stone.⁣ ⁣ BUT: it all comes down to our habits. Each day we have a choice; many, many choices. ⁣ ⁣ 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬.⁣ BUT- what I learned from my PD (and duh, makes so much sense) is that the most effective way to change your habits is to focus not on WHAT you want to achieve, but WHO you want to become. & are your actions supporting the YOU you want to become?⁣ ⁣ Our identity will show out of the habits we create - every action is a VOTE towards the person you want to become. ⁣ ⁣ Can’t wait to share this 👆🏼 and more with your Spring Clean YO LIFE group this month. Totally agree! Although motivation gets you started, this is a habit that keeps you going! What makes something a habit? When you do something often enough ✨ you have to repeat something over and over again for at least 30 days to make it a habit! One of my habits that I developed along the way is exercising 🏃‍♀️ 🤸‍♂️ It was SUPER hard at the beginning to find 15 minutes during the day to exercise but finally it happened! I made exercising a habit! I dedicate 15 minutes a day to exercising at home. I usually do stretching exercises! 🙆‍♀️ In summer time, I usually run around neighbourhood. Want to know what else I do when exercising or running around neighbourhoods?
