Marriage is work… 💪🏽 I don’t think it ever looks the way we expected it would when we spoke vows at the altar. 👰🏼🤵🏽 There are easy days, glory days and days that exhaust every emotion and press every trigger. And even in times of trial and tension, marriage can be good and sacred. ✨
Marriage is worth the work.
It reveals areas of our souls that are ripe for sanctification. 💫
Pretty sure that’s one of the main things God had in mind for it.
Marriage is more than love. 💍 It’s commitment, companionship and comfort. It’s a mirror to selfishness and a megaphone to stubbornness. It’s long walks on the beach, complicated conversations and oceans of grace.
It’s sunsets and storms.
It’s forgiving and forgetting. It’s dreaming and screaming. And it’s a journey worth each struggle and smile. 😄
❤️ I love this man more today than ever… and thank God that in good times and bad, by the grace of Jesus, we have each other forever.
🌸 “Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
