YouTube Kids was developed for 7-year-olds and older to have a safer space. The site, which is managed by YouTube, contains music, content made by the users, TV shows like Thomas and Friends or Winnie the Pooh and educational videos. It doesn’t look anything like YouTube—it’s colorful, has silly sounds, easy picture-based navigation, and funny visuals. YouTube Kids has some parental controls one of which is a terrific feature: a timer; this allows you to set a time limit on how long your child uses the app. Pretty neat, huh? One other great parental control is whether to let your child be able to search or not; however, there’s no way to set filters on what your child searches. So it’s probably better to block the search function. You can also set up profiles for each child and they’ll get to choose their own avatar and password—but you can override that if you wish. Once the profile is created, YouTube Kids will adjust the selections to your child’s age and individuality. Download the YouTube Kids to give your kids a wonderful and safe experience online. Will share reviews on channels your kids can watch on the @youtube.kids Click on follow @itegofintelhub for more information #financialeducationforkids #moneyafrica #moneymatterswithnimi #accessbank #lagosschools #schoolinlekki #schoolinikeja #fabmumsng #wivesandmothers #valentineng #mykolo #financialliteracyforkids #financialliteracyinafrica #naijastartups #edutechafrica #parenting #parliamobambini #ultimatelovenaija #schoolsinajah #ultimateloveng

The good news is that you can forget everything you've ever known about budgets. Unless you're an accountant or comptroller for a company, traditional budgets are too complex and complicated for most people. We define a good budget as one that works for you, so we've spent a lot of time breaking down the components and simplifying the process. A budget is simply a planning tool. It helps you figure out how to get the things you want. Have you ever put money aside every week so that you could buy some new clothes or go on a vacation? That's budgeting. Basically, all you need to know is how much money you have coming in every month, as well as all your obligations - rent, mortgage, car payments, gas, phone, groceries, etc. Deduct one from the other and you know how much you have left to save for short and long term goals. The next step is to set up an account, or accounts, and contribute regularly to it until you reach your goal. If, however, you find that you don't have any leftover money, then you need to go through your list of expenses and figure out which ones you're willing to cut back on - or eliminate - so that you can redirect those funds to your new goals. We know from experience that the simplest budgets tend to be the successful ones. Who would have thought - even a month ago - that we would all be isolating ourselves in our homes and apartments, our lives on hold, terrified of strangers coughing in our vicinity and trying to avoid touching our faces? Thank God for Netflix. But we can't watch TV all the time, so here's our suggestion: turn off the computer and the phone and spend some time reflecting and making plans for your future. Ask yourself some basic questions: What are you most happy about in your life? What would you change if you could? Where do you see yourself in 5 years; 10 years? What are your goals? How are you going to accomplish them? Now it's time for planning: what can you do to move yourself ahead? Upgrade your skills, learn a new trade, take some courses at a nearby college, find a mentor, start a home-based business? The opportunities are endless, but first, you need to take the time and space to plan. Once you have a specific goal in mind it's much easier to achieve it. I know its really scary right now, but we have to be really careful to not let our kids worry. This is a time to keep our kids busy with things that will empower our kids and teens rather than let them get sucked into the despair they are seeing all around. Stop watching the new (or at least stop your kids from seeing it, or at the very least limit what they see) and do these 5 fun things with your child instead… 5 things you can do with your child at home to keep them not just busy but productive during the COVID-19 Self Isolation Quarantine. This is an opportunity to empower our kids with sound financial education literacy while they’re home with us during this mandatory self isolation quarantine … and keep your kids not just busy but productive while we get our own work done too! I really hope these financial literacy activities will help you and will inspire your child to be smart with their money, to become a true money master and to know that it’s actually fun to learn how to manage money and make it work for them rather than always having to work hard for their money. The 5 Financial Literacy Activities Will Teach Your Child: * how to set goals that motivate them to take control of their finances * how to dream big and create a plan to make their dreams actually come true * how to take responsibility in your family to feel proud to help around the house during this pandemic * how to get creative and find unique ways to make money from home * and so much more! Despite the worst recession since the Great Depression, the world has recently churned out more new self-made millionaires than at any other time in history. After conducting extensive research and interviews with many of them we were surprised to learn that this fortunate group includes very few with any serious financial education, either academic or otherwise. Fewer still inherited their wealth, and an almost insignificant number came by their fortune by way of lotteries or “Lady Luck.” In other words, the profile of this group looks a lot like the average person. These people do not have extraordinary talents and are no different from you. They simply make savvy, informed choices regarding money and, more than anything else, they believe in themselves. What we would like to show you, is how you can actually become rich if you start with the right Attitude. Then, as clearly as possible, we will show you the tried and true methods employed by rich people everywhere in maintaining their wealth. It requires a little bit of discipline but it is not difficult. Want to get started? One of the reasons we spend so much time emphasizing the importance of Attitude in our books and online course is that so many people live their lives in a "scarcity" mindset. This is where people believe that they shouldn't take any chances in life - careers, investing, love life, etc. - because they're sure they would lose out. This is obviously a very limiting way in which to live. We strongly believe in a world of abundance, one in which there are loads of possibilities and opportunities. To us, it's just a nicer, more positive way to live. Something that will really help you see the possibilities surrounding you is getting your finances under control. Living paycheck to paycheck is no fun and also very stressful. Getting out of debt and starting to save your money will take away a lot of stress and darkness from your life. In fact, once you get your finances under control, you may want to follow your passion and start your own home-based business, or fill an existing hole in the market with your own idea or invention. Or, get involved with someone who has a great idea that you can help develop. We devote the entire 3rd section of our books and online course to showing how to get started in your own business. The opportunities really are unlimited. Want to get started? A lot of things nowadays require skill...and not education. Skills are going to be the leading factor of employment in the coming generation strictly because it's more valuable now more than ever. Major CEOs like Elon Musk has spoken publicly about this and said he approved of the concept and is actually hiring people for their skill and not their degrees. Get yourself a skill you are passionate about. And master it. What are you skilled in? Do let me know in the comments! 💭 Follow 👉 @financeverse Follow 👉 @financeverse Follow 👉 @financeverse

There is a Chinese saying that goes: “If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody. If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. I am busy creating this fortnight's free money mindset activity (will be ready tomorrow) and came across this video we made when Daniel was about 10 ( he's 15 now) about ASSETS and LIABILITIES. Link in bio to sign up for free activities and if you sign today you will get the current activity today and the new one tomorrow. This week's activity is going to be about going on a FINANCIAL DISCOVERY OUTING (either in your car, walking or real estate sites online) to have a casual chat about assets and liabilities. Introducing these financial concepts early is no different to introducing the concepts of 'sharing is caring', brushing teeth, saying thank you - they are all life skills and need time and practice if we want to become good at them. #financialeducationforkids #financialliteracyforkids #familyactivitytime #isolationactivities #isolationactivityforkids #homeschoolideas #createplaylearn #playwithyourkids #kidscraft101 #preteenlife #preteenager #preteenmom #preteenproblems #preteenswithpurpose #tweenagers #tweensandteens #homeschooltween #homeschooltweens #homeschoolteens #homeschoolteen #raisemytribe #mywealthyhealthylife #kidsandmoney #moneyandkids #nzhomeschool #nzmummy

The good news about finding happiness is that it generally doesn't involve a lot of money. Sure, most people will say reflexively that they need a million dollars to be happy, but on closer examination, they will rate spending time, and having a good relationship, with family and friends above money. For years we've defined success as "Having what you want and wanting what you have". We might want to add to that, living a stress-free life, because it's tough being happy if you have companies hounding you for money, or like most Americans, living paycheck to paycheck. Thankfully there are plenty of books out there, including ours, that will walk you through the steps to getting out of debt and into savings. Our specialty is in making complex scenarios simple and easy to follow for everyone from the novice to expert. If you're not a book person then you will love our new online course which you can take in the comfort and security of your own home on your own schedule. Whatever route you choose, you will start to make changes to your lifestyle as you question whether your purchases are Wants or Needs. This examination will result in saving money which you can then redirect toward paying off debt and starting to save and invest. It will also help you cut down on the accumulation of the 'shiny objects' that, in the end, don't really bring true happiness as much as the internal things like self-acceptance, and being happy proud of who you are. Managing your expenses is a cornerstone of becoming debt-free and financially successful. To manage them you first have to know what they are. That's why one of the first steps involves keeping track of exactly what you spend every day for a week or two. That's how you start to recognize your spending habits and determine whether what you're spending money on is a Want or a Need. The strawberry frappuccino, or the drinks after work - probably a Want, and could be curtailed for a couple of months until you've gotten some debts under control. In fact, you may find that the extra money you've freed up is much more refreshing anyway. This is an easy step to take and once you see how much you could save and redirect to getting yourself out of debt, the idea of doing up a simple budget will seem like fun. Well, OK, you'll have to trust us on that one, but it works. There are lots of other options to consider as your life transitions from living paycheck to paycheck to one of abundance and we've captured them in our new online course: financialgps.teachable.com Want to get started? #financialeducation #FinancialEducationServices #financialeducationforkids #bestseller #finance #money #business #investment #bookstagram #books #booklover #reading #instabook #read #entrepreneur #investing #success #financialfreedom #wealth #stocks #trading #invest #realestate #accounting #stockmarket #forex #motivation #entrepreneurship #financialplanning

I know it can be really easy to feel deeply worried, anxious and depressed right now. Remember to take a moment to breathe in deeply and trust that this too shall pass. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. ❤ (and reach out to me if there is anything I can do to help you) If you have to stay home from work or school, if you are in quarantine please make your mental health, as well as your physical health, a priority. And most of all remember that you do have a choice right now. With all the panic that is going on all around us, remember that you do still have the power to determine your life and the life of your family. You can choose to stay glued to social media and the news (which can be a great way to keep up to date on what's going on in our world right now), but please be careful who you choose to listen to. Make sure you only listen to sources you truly trust. You have a responsibility to not panic. We need you right now to be a role model, to stay strong (and yes, you are of course allowed to have moments of doubt ... trust me I do! As a person with a seriously compromised set of lungs, this is a huge issue for our family right now) but you also have an amazing opportunity right now. That's why I want you to watch an interview I did with Christina Louise, where I share how I took my own life challenge and chose to turn it into a way to empower other families instead of just giving up all hope. I truly hope this will inspire you and give you some insight into what you do still have control of. https://youtu.be/nqfeJJ-5nW0 (Clickable link in bio...) Please share this with a friend who could use a little hope and light. If you have money in a bank account you're earning somewhere between 0 and 1% interest every year. With a credit union or online bank, you might increase that to 1 1/2%. Typically this amounts to less than $10 per year in earnings. You can say that it's better in your pocket than theirs, but it's hardly worth the trouble. Still, people move their money around from account to account or from bank to bank so that they can capture that extra $5 per year. But when a credit card company charges us from 17 to 19% to carry a balance, most people pay it without complaint. It's even worse with a department or big-box store where they charge closer to 29%! We have some charts in our books that show just how much people pay these lenders every year as a result of these high-interest charges, and it will shock you. In our new online course we show you how much a typical American family pays every year in interest charges, plus we have a calculator which will allow you to put in all of your outstanding debts and see how much it's costing you to carry them. Then the calculator will show you how fast you can get completely out of debt by paying off the debts in a certain order, and by adding another $50/month to the payments. No matter how deeply you are in debt, you will be amazed at how quickly you can get be financially free if you do it the correct way. That is unless you like supporting the banks. If you fail to plan, the expression goes, then you plan to fail. Make sense? Let's think about the planning involved in a family vacation. First, you have to decide when and where you want to go. Once you've decided that, can you afford it immediately, or do you have to save up for it? Is it better to fly or drive to the destination? Which is cheaper and more convenient? What kind of weather should you pack for? With all the questions you need to ask and answer you may find that you need a vacation before you even get to the actual vacation! But we all do it; in fact planning the trip is part of the fun. It's no different when it comes to your finances - the skillset is the same. You need to set some goals and then figure out how to achieve them. What are your goals: a better home in a better neighborhood, a newer car, college for the kids, early retirement? Then ask yourself: can you afford the goal now or do you need to start saving up for it? What expenses can you live without in the short term in order to reach the savings goal? Can you take on some extra hours at work or have a garage sale to raise some extra funds? What will it take to reach your goal? Achieving financial freedom involves the same skills and actions that you're already using for other things. Why not apply them to make your life free from financial stress? I have something serious I want to talk about ... Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. ❤ If you have to stay home from work or school, if you are in quarantine please make your mental health, as well as your physical health, a priority. You have a choice right now... You can choose to stay glued to social media and the news, and as great as it is to keep on top of knowing what's going on in our world right now, you have a responsibility to not panic. We need you right now to be a role model, to stay strong (and yes, you are of course allowed to have moments of doubt) but you have an opportunity right now. You can choose to focus on all the changes that are affecting your life negatively right now or you focus on using this time to get ready for when this passes. And trust me, I know exactly what it feels like to not know if you can pay rent, or even find any groceries. And I'm not saying to ignore that. Not at all. Take care of what you need to do to keep you and your family safe right now. And when you have an extra minute, choose to use that wisely. Instead of filling your mind with more bad news choose to find things that will help you and your family prepare for your future. One of the things you can do if you're stuck in quarantine right now is to use this time to learn and grow. Learn new ways to succeed emotionally, financially, etc. This is the time to spend with your kids and be a good role model. Show them to empower themselves rather than stay in fear. To see what is real and find a way to make it better. Did you watch my latest video yet? I hope the tips in this video can help you.
