Some lighter weight form work just to make sure I’m actually hitting depth, ended up doing like 6 or 7 sets of 6, i honestly lost count. But yeah, right now I’m just lifting to lift basically. I have no goal numbers to reach, no set program, not doing any shows. I’m just lifting whatever exercises i feel like doing and doing volume work til i feel exhausted or bored lol. I started the new week yesterday with squats as usual. My squat developed very well in the past couple of weeks and could even hit a new volume PR yesterday. 125kg for 6s, which is very nice... . . Not to get discouraged though. Becoming a better version of ourselves is a life long journey and nothing happens or changes over night. it’s important to make sure when you’re training you include a range of movements - such as explosive movements like these, this is because we have different types of muscle fibres that respond differently to different forms of training. 👏🏻 I also love getting my heart rate up because your general cardiovascular fitness levels are important too!!! . These two exercises I’d do back to back ((as shown in the vid)) to end a leg day 🤢🤪 as you can see by my face at the end - it’s tough. Friendly reminder to make sure you're dropping all the way down and back up for full range of motion pull ups 💪 . Ask me a year ago, and I would've said I could do pull ups easily but I was dropping maybe half way down. Add in the full length of your arms for maximum range of motion and a better workout! It's waaaay harder but better in the long run 🤗

After losing maybe a pound in the past month or so, I woke up today 3 pounds lighter! This brings me to over 20 pounds lost from my heaviest weight of 174lbs ✨. I feel so much better, energized and overall more confident in my own skin. For some people, colder weather brings less activity. Which I totally get because I don’t really wanna go outdoors. I usually go for a walk with my daughter but I don’t want her out in this cold for long. People also associate cold weather with warm comfort food (i.e.- holiday food). What I’m getting at it is that a majority of people gain weight during the cold season. Don’t let the holidays snowball into unhealthy habits! It’s a season like any other. Of course, enjoy the holidays and eat what ya want, but don’t forget about #health After all, being healthy should be a lifestyle, not temporary. I don’t mean to preach, but I am studying to be a dietitian.🤷🏼‍♀️ Trust me, I have my bad days and just wanna eat, but I remember that I am human and that’ll happen. But then I also focus on eating whole, healthy foods the next day, as well as exercise, so I can feel better. . If you fall into a little slump, it’s OK. Remember why you started your health journey: to feel better inside and out. That’ll be your motivation!🤘🏼
