So much happened between each of these photos. Life changing experiences, mistakes, heartbreaks, laziness, binging, and total mindset shifts.
Your life can really change a lot, for better or for worse. It all comes down to who you surround yourself with, what you allow in your life, the choices you make, and the actions you take.
Photo one is 2015: I was really lazy and unhealthy. I was uncomfortable with myself and my life. I had no direction, and I had no drive to change anything. Complacency was my biggest enemy.
Photo 2 is 2018: I had lost so much weight I was underweight and malnourished. I had just left a toxic and abusive relationship that literally took the very essence of who I was away from me. I was an empty shell who had just embarked on a journey to finally figure out who she was meant to be.
Photo 3 is 2019: believe it or not, I am the same weight in this photo as the first one. The only difference is lean muscle makes up this body instead of French fries and cookies 🍪 I am now fully self aware and focused on building my life into something I am proud of. I finally have awesome goals I’m reaching, I have awesome friends that push me to become the best version of myself, I have an awesome financial plan that will get me to the financial freedom I have been itching for, and I have an awesome career on the horizon.
Life changes. But the best changes happen when you think it’s the end. I thought it was over for me when I broke up with my fiancé. But it wasn’t. I am so GRATEFUL that I went through that. Because it is the catalyst that pushed me to become who I am today 🙌🏻
When life throws shit at you, just use it for fertilizer #growthmindset
