To stay out of trouble my gangster ass surrogate father made sure I spent a lot time at the library as a child. And I was literally going through every single book, magazine and pamphlet I could get my hands on. And every time I finished a book or a topic I had to give him a report, a review, and what my personal thoughts of it were. He taught me HOW to think, not WHAT to think.
I was 9 or 10 years old when I got into sociology, psychology, and political science. For some reason I was fascinated by the dynamics of people’s patterns, emotions, relationships and behaviors, whether it was as a collectivist or a individualistic society.
And honestly the more I knew and the more I experienced, the less I wanted to interact with the human species. Hence why I’m a very proud pragmatic stoic.
Anyways...this week’s good read is a THROWBACK throwback for me.
