“If the love from you to yourself does not feel enough,
then you are not loving yourself right...” We seek love from others when our love is not enough. As soon as we do this, we are setting ourselves up for disappointment because someone else’s love will never be enough. Love has to come from within ourselves for it to be enough, anything from outside is a supplement that we will of course value, but it cannot replace the love we need from ourselves.
Every time we prioritise loving others ahead of ourselves, we must question why we are withholding from ourselves. Deprioritising loving ourselves in order to love another is not always an act of selflessness, it is often an avoidance tactic that we use to withhold love from ourselves because we consider others more worthy than ourselves. Until we love ourselves, we will always be deficient in love and no amount of love shown by anyone else will feel enough.
Today, we invite you to take a look at how loved you feel. How much do you love yourself?
Is your love enough or do you need to work on how you are loving yourself? Start by looking at how you are prioritising, are you loving others before you love yourself? Remember it all starts with the self.
Wishing you a Thursday loving you…
