I became a vegetarian after watching a hideous video on FB,  of a poor, poor frog being eaten alive at a restaurant somewhere in Asia. I wasn't expecting that at all and I could not unseen. The eyes of the poor creature haunt me even now.  I had thought about becoming a vegetarian before then but it was not easy socially. But after that video, I became a vegetarian instantly. I do not miss eating meat at all but after a while, I was not getting enough nutrients and started eating white fish. (By the way, I don't eat Sushi even if I am a Japanese 😅) Since I am not a very good cook, I tend to cook the same old thing contains pasta, rice and potatoes.  I am also a meal skipper. I get so engrossed with whatever I am doing and often forget to eat. So I end up making the same cheese sandwich, quite often. But it had to change then I was introduced to these Fruit and Veg whole-food-based capsules by my friend and haven't liked back. Here are a few reasons why I love my whole-food-based capsules. 1. I love instagram yet I fell out of love with it, for many reasons. . 1) it's a huge like for like culture for some users (myself included) only sharing the best parts of life. This is so unrealistic and I strive to be a good role model for my children. Self care today is about writing myself & the universe a thank you letter... You could call it a gratitude letter but the aim is slightly different yet has the same power (love...). When was the last time you gave yourself a tap on the back for what you do, for hard decisions or removing toxic behavioural people or going for that run or being kind to that person or stepping away from a situation or putting you first just for once, or for that dinner you cooked, for all the supposed insignificant actions that are taken on a daily basis for your survival but to better your life too that you forgot to honour and give yourself a big thank you for!... it’s limitless yet we forget to thank our own selves. We spend our lives saying please and thank you to others, today is about us! And to the Universe? Well simply for always watching over me, for the great amazing loving friends in my life, for blessing me with all I experience, for making me feel miraculous when I find coins, feathers and observe other synchronicities, for being able to see the beauty of all that surrounds me, for making me who I am and teaching me lessons, even the hard ones and for always, always , always having my back! You could even write thank you letters to others and either send them or not but create that beautiful energy nonetheless... And perhaps then get yourself a bunch of beautiful fresh flowers! Yesterday I arrived in Cambodia 🌎. I am here as a supervisor and mentor for Nutrition and Dietetic student's on their international placement. Today I had some free time and explored the busy streets of Cambodia. With the weather here being extremely hot and humid, I found myself being extra mindful about staying hydrated throughout the day. So I thought I would share with you some facts and tips about hydration 😊⠀ .⠀ Staying HYDRATED is very important for optimal body function. Did you know that approx 60% of our body is made up of water. Of which is constantly being used or excreted, which means we need to replace it by drinking water frequently.⠀ .⠀ Water helps...⠀ -Regulate our core body temperature⠀ -Acts as a lubricant for our joints⠀ -Aids in the digestion of food, the absorption of vitamins and minerals and the transportation of nutrients. ⠀ -Aids in the excretion of waste via the kidneys, liver and intestines⠀ -Helps with concentration, mood and energy! Water helps to fight fatigue…so staying hydrated can help you beat that 3pm office slump.⠀ -Helps to energize our muscles – if your fluid balance isn’t right your muscles will fatigue faster, impacting on your performance at the gym!⠀ -It helps to metabolize and breakdown FAT stores…(so if you are dehydrated it is HARDER to lose that extra body fat!)⠀ -Helps us feel fuller for longer, therefore assisting with appetite and weight control.⠀ .⠀ I've found that an easy way to ensure you are getting enough water daily is to drink 500mls of water as soon as you wake up and then drink 1 glass (250mls) of water before each meal or snack. .⠀ Some additional tips for water intake:⠀ -Always carry a re-usable water bottle with you to refill throughout the day.⠀ -If you dislike plain water try flavoring it with some fresh lemon, lime or berries.⠀ -Caffeinated beverages such as black/green tea and coffee do not count towards your daily water intake.⠀ .⠀ To figure out the exact amount of water you need each day use the following formula '43mL/kg of body weight' ⠀ (For example: A 65kg person needs 65×43=2800mls (2.8L) of water daily)⠀ 🙌 #eatwelllivewell #dietitian #healthy #wellness

I know, I know.. the last couple of weeks I simply forgot all about the other good books on my list and entered the world of Stephen King.😅This is the third and last one.. for now. 📚If you‘re the thriller type of reader this is for you. Before I read this, I didn‘t even know that there was a link to ‚The Outsider‘.. but no spoilers.. Out of the three books my favourite one is still ‚The Institute‘ though. We are all programmed from external sources continuously throughout our lives. Everyday from birth until death. It is so important to be mindful and aware, to question everything all the time. To evaluate and re-evaluate. Not to the point of no fun. Just enough so 😉To control your thoughts, read and watch and listen and taste and touch and smell and dream and experience and enjoy. However, think critically, understand self, know yourself, understand your impact. Live with purpose and intention. Good intentions. Be kind and understanding. Love. Try not to let your mind be blind. Your role and the worlds role was never to make you Happy. You should not make happiness a pursuit. Your pursuit should be purpose. Living life consciously and Purposefully will take you all kinds of places of which happiness will be a byproduct. A very wise, very quiet man told me a story in a country pub many years ago about cats 😉He didn’t talk much, so when he did you really listened. He said this - “there was a Mumma cat and a kitten chillin by the fire. The mother cat was calm, preening herself. The kitten was jumping and running around in circles chasing its tail. The Mumma cat says to the kitten “ why are you chasing your tail little one”. The kitten says “I’m chasing my tail, because I think happiness is in my tail. If I catch it I’ll be happy”!! The Mumma cat smiles to herself and says “little one, you are right, happiness is in your tail. It is in my tail to. Sie passen nicht zu Deinen Bedürfnissen und zu Deinem wahren Ich. Oft ergeben sich aus den Werten die wir Leben unsere Ziele. Das kann dazu führen, dass du hart dafür arbeitest, ein bestimmtes Ziel zu erreichen. Wenn du es dann erreichst bist du vielleicht kurz zufrieden oder gar glücklich, aber es bringt keine tiefere Erfüllung. 🇦🇺 Happy Australia Day 🇦🇺 Here is one of my favourite snacks from our program for you to enjoy today! Oh and it’s shred approved, but ONLY if you can stop at ONE and it’s your treat for the day! 😜 🍒1 cup frozen blueberries OR cherries, thawed 🍒1 cup oats OR cashew flour (1 cup raw cashews blitz to a meal consistency- will taste more cake like) 🍒1 1/2 cups shredded coconut 🍒2 tbsp chia seeds made into a gel (add 6 tbsp water and soak for 30 min) 🍒1/3 cup coconut flour 🍒1 tbsp cold pressed coconut oil 🍒1 tbsp maple syrup or honey 🍒1 tsp vanilla bean paste 🍒Pinch salt 🍒Desiccated coconut for rolling 🍒85% chocolate for dipping (optional) Blitz ingredients in blender or food processor to desired texture. Roll into balls and into coconut. Freeze to set. Roll or drizzle in melted chocolate. Set again. Ви помітите, що ваше #життя повільно повертається до норми. Щоправда, Ви й надалі матимете кращі і гірші дні. Як правило, у цей період, відчуття, що Ви впораєтесь і переживете, переплітається з глибоким смутком і враженням, що #біль триватиме вічно. З часом, Ви побачите, що кращих днів стає все більше, а біль здається не таким інтенсивним. . В моїй практиці з людьми, які проживали скорботу була 100% закономірність - інтенсивність болю та печалі зменшується і з часом близька людина згадується без обезвладнюючої печалі, натомість зберігаються щасливі #спогади. Люди почнають жити власним життям. З часом знову планують #майбутнє, хоч часто ті плани є вже трохи іншими, ніж раніше. Або ж навпаки, продовжують те, що хотіли зробити разом. Багато людей, після втрати близької людини, надає #сенс пережитій трагедії. Той сенс часто дозволяє відкрити в собі силу та мужність, про існування яких, до трагедії, вони навіть не знали. . Пережиття цього всього вимагає рішучості. Ви можете відчути, що завдяки цій ситуації, Ви стали більш зрілі і на багато речей дивитесь зовсім по-іншому. . Відшукання сенсу власного життя може стати початком дій, на які Ви б раніше ніколи не наважились. . Кожен з нас сам визначає свій сенс, наприклад: турбота про інших, досягнення чергових нових цілей, розвиток нових вмінь, пошук власної життєвої філософії. . Що є певне - Ви змінитесь. Зміниться також Ваше життя. Пройде трохи часу і Ви приймете своє нове життя та своє нове «Я». . P.s. ми маємо лише одне життя і вистачить частка секунди, щоб його втратити. . Einen wunderschönen guten Morgen ihr Lieben. In den letzten Tagen sind hier sehr viele neue Follower dazu gekommen. Nehmt euch also eine schöne Tasse Kaffee und macht’s euch gemütlich - hier kommen ein paar Facts über mich: . . 🙋🏻‍♀️ Ich bin 37 Jahre alt, lebe in der Nähe von Stuttgart, bin seit mittlerweile elf Jahren mit meinem Lieblingsmenschen @archangelgd zusammen und seit beinahe neun Jahren mit ihm verheiratet. Wir haben keine Kinder, dafür seit beinahe zwei Jahren eine französische Bulldogge -> @paul_the_bully . . . 👩🏻‍💻 Ich bin gelernte Bürokauffrau, arbeite seit zehn Jahren im Backoffice eines Verlages und betreibe nebenbei seit 2015 meinen Blog www.minime.life . . 👩🏻‍🌾 In meiner Freizeit beschäftige ich mich viel mit Minimalismus und Nachhaltigkeit und bewirtschafte gemeinsam mit meinem Mann einen großen Schrebergarten. . . 🥕 Seit Juli 2019 lebe ich vegan. . . 🧘🏻 Sport ist generell eher nicht so meinst. Aber ich mache gerne Yoga und versuche mich aktuell auch ein wenig an Meditation . . ✖️ Mein großes Laster ist das Rauchen. Aufzuhören habe ich schon zig mal versucht, aber mehr als ein paar Wochen habe ich nicht durchgehalten.
