A few days post tonsillectomy and it’s kicking my butt. Not being able to do any kind of physical activity is the biggest part. Earliest I will be good to lift is on February 15th, looking forward to it. Having this surgery will hopefully help me not get sick so often and I not be out of the gym constantly. Shortly after starting to go to the gym consistently was when I started to get sick. I wasn’t very good about keeping my hands away from my face and washing them throughout my workouts. Now that I am vigilant about keeping my hands away from my face and keeping my hands clean and sanitized, it will make a huge difference to wether or not I get sick. Thankfully my gym has wipes everywhere, and it is easy to keep the equipment clean. It helps out a lot, and I alway have hand sanitizer on my gym bag so I can use it all the time. Keeping the gym clean keeps you and everyone from getting sick and having to take time off.- When I get back I will be training for my @spartanrace on March 22nd. First race and I will have about 5 weeks to be ready, a little bit of a different training style than what I have been doing but it will be good to change it up for a little while. An understanding of absolute speed is valuable for coaches to possess in order to effectively train competitive sport-specific clients. Absolute speed falls on the far side of the Strength Continuum. This area of the continuum is unique because of its sport-specific purposes. . . . Absolute speed while being sport-specific does require a strong base of absolute strength. Absolute speed is one example of how the whole Strength Continuum does not apply to all clients. . . . Most clients might not ever leave absolute strength and will still see benefits in their overall health.
