As I work on @rtsbarbell in preparation for opening back up post pandemic, I’ve been reminiscing the evolutions of RTSBB and just what has been required to get us this far.
These pictures are from 2015 in @kristenjane924 garage. Everything you see I had pretty much accumulated in high school, minus the atlas stones.
When I moved out on my own at 19 I was broke and couldn’t afford a squat rack, so I made one out of 4x4’s in buckets with concrete.
This is where I taught @madisonlinek to lift and we got strong. I had written on the posts,
You have to keep going
Work fucking harder
Be the hardest fucking worker
Don’t quit ever.... This was for no ones benefit but mine. Before today the only people to have seen this were Madison and Kris.
Back then I was fighting for my life. I was young, broke and very much had my back against the wall. Those words reminded me not to just train hard, but to be relentless in my efforts to build and grow a business and a life. To never be satisfied, to never cut corners.
I really live this. @rtsbarbell is built from a genuine belief that better was possible and I was going to be the one to make it so. It’s my greatest passion and I hope it shows itself in the gym and how I treat others.
I’ve been obsessed with the world of strength since 15, and as I near my 25th birthday and a decade in it, I’m more committed than ever to build something excellent, that will last for generations.
@rtsbarbell doesn’t sell gimmicks, I have no fancy, clever sales pitch. Just a genuine desire to over deliver and make good on the dreams of a struggling kid who wanted to be the one to create a badass strength gym.
Thank you, sincerely to everyone who has in the past and presently gives me the opportunity to prove that it’s possible. I have so much love for you all!
Stay tuned and stay strong!
