These times have certainly been interesting. A place I call home and considered a place of rest has become the centre of my Work Ethic. A place I call home and considered a place to switch off is now where I'm most switched on. Distractions are a plenty. The Pantry, The Fridge, The TV, The BBQ, The XBox, The Pool Table. All of the above are constantly around and it just takes one to set you off your path. We need to remain focused now. We need to remain disciplined. We need to remain dedicated. We need to remain consistent. But through this all. A place I call home is my home. It's my castle. It's where I'm most comfortable. There is no reason why I shouldn't thrive here. There is no reason why I should lose focus. If anything, I am more focused than ever right now. I am focused on my cause and my purpose. I am focused on what I am going to become. Use this time to stay on track. Use this time to find YOU. Use this time to find YOUR Purpose. You have this time. Use it wisely. Struggling with the lockdown? 😟 . As our normal daily routines have been turned upside down, it's only normal for us to feel more anxious and stressed. I've found that establishing a bit of a daily routine and making sure I get outside every day has helped keep me sane and bring back some normality to life. 🌿☀️ . Last night before bed I realised that in the 2 weeks that I’ve been back in the UK I haven’t actually even started any of the things that I had planned to get on top of whilst I was here and having to be in lockdown 🙄 It annoyed me... yes it’s been lovely to have a rest and enjoy the time with my family who I very rarely see but, there is a lot that I was hoping to tick off the list and get behind me so I feel like I’ve got some kind of advantage moving forward after this is all over! So this morning I’ve started my day with a bit of reading instead of just scrolling through my Instagram, I’m off to have my morning walk to get me moving and get some inspiration going for breakfast before writing up a meal plan for later in the week after I’ve made it to the supermarket and then hopefully get cracking on some coursework... providing my 2 year old nephew allows it 😂 Taking the time off is so important to allow your body and mind to relax but I’m certainly already noticing the difference in my motivation levels so want to nip that in the bud now before it really slumps! #positivity #morning #morningmotivation #quoteoftheday #ukfitness #nzfitness #dailyhabits #motivation #nutritional_nina #reading #coursework #wellness #goals #personalgoals #focus #mindset

Simple Honey Mustard Dressing 🍯 1 tbsp honey 1 tbsp mustard (I used Dijon but any will work) 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1 tbsp water Mix it all up This will liven up any salad. |TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS: WEEK 2| • 40kg DB's bench 5 sets 7-8 reps 117kg slingshot bench for 3 (PB) @9 217kg deads for 2 (pb) @9.5 145kg pin squats for 3 @9 • Got a pair of 40's so hoping to get this to 10+ reps @8 or so RPE then maybe introduce a tempo. Loads of room to progress with these. • Slingshot bench is in there to replace chain bench. It's pretty fun, it's taking a bit of time to learn. Got to really control it on the eccentric and touch at the right spot as it wants to bring the bar too low, away from the elastic force of the material. • Deads went OK! A bit forwards on the first rep but happy my tech is staying solid otherwise with back angle and grip especially. 🙂 • #catalystsap

Focus on getting 8-12 reps for 4 sets, 3-4 times a week. Move to the next Progression once 12 becomes easy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Normal: focus on keeping the back straight and abs tensed while doing the full range of motion. Pushups can be done in addition to other workouts and can be a great warm up. Once you can do 4 sets of 20 reps move onto the next progression. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Waist-line (military) pushups: put your hands and close to your waist line as possible and focus on keeping your back straight - this will be difficult! Focus on 8-12 reps of 4 sets 3-4times per week. Progress by leaning forward more until you can do the push up with your feet off the ground! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Wide and narrow: These are variations that can be used to target different parts of the chest. I recommend doing a superset, one of a variation you can do 15-20 reps comfortably followed by 12 reps of one of these! Something different for your cheese platter. With no yeast in the pantry or supermarket and beer in the fridge, time to try out Chelsea Winter’s beer bread (aka lockdown loaf) 😉 It doesn’t take long to make and you can change the toppings. Ingredients: Bread: 3 cups plain flour 3 tsp baking powder 2 tsp sugar 1 tsp salt 375 ml beer Toppings: Finely chopped onion or red onion Grated cheese or dairy-free cheese Sprinkle of paprika and/or oregano Salt and pepper Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling Method: Preheat the oven to 180°C regular bake and line a small / medium loaf tin with baking paper. Add the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt to a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Pour in the beer/water and stir again to combine into a sticky dough. Scrape in to the prepared tin with a spatula and smooth out. Sprinkle with the toppings you like and drizzle with olive oil. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes – it will have risen and puffed up and be all golden and delicious looking. The bread in the photo was made in a shallow round tin and took 30 minutes to bake. The beer is alcohol free and the toppings are red onion, sundried tomato, black olives, grated cheese, pepper, paprika and Italian herbs. The bread did stick to the baking paper so probably better to grease it. Very yummy though! 😊

Can confirm. 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲. Yesterday I had the pleasure of workingout with my old gym buddy @72nafets again. And just like the old times, he was in-charge of the the whole session. So here’s what I had to endure, but you’ll love it too. No equipments needed. Grab a partner or do it solo. If your lawn/space is smaller or bigger, adjust the laps to suit. Though this is a workout you practically can do anywhere. 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐌 𝐔𝐏 (1 mega round): Jogs x 6 laps High knees x 1 lap Bum kicks x 1 lap Star Jumps x 10 Press up x 10 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐎𝐔𝐓 (3 mega rounds 𝚡 1 minute rest between rounds): Bodyweight Squats x 20 Jump Squats x 10 Burpies x 10 Crunches x 10 Back Arches x 10 Sumo Squats x 1 lap Wide Stance Lunges x 1 lap Press Up x 10 Bodyweight Calf Raises x 20 Try this session at home, and let us know what you think in the comments! Recap on this week: Straight SMASHED it with good, consistent eating, killer trainings & just overall LOVING the last week. I DID IT!!! Feeling inspired by David Goggins, again, I set myself a challenge, a 48 hour challenge - not quite as beasty as his 48 challenge but enough for me to challenge myself. I started 8pm Friday & finished at 8pm Sunday. Every 4 hours for 48hours (minus the 4am because this girl loves her sleep way too much) I jogged/or walked 2km.  I decided to set this challenge because 1. I wanted to do something I've never done before; and 2. I knew I'd probably hate it 😂 If you really want something you'll go get it! My fitness and health has very quickly become one of my most important values and it's my driving force behind what I choose now. My mental and physical health are top priority. I'm choosing what I watch, what I listen to, who I listen to, what I eat, what I drink and if it no longer benefits me I'm choosing less of it or not choosing it at all. I love challenges like this and recommend it (choose a distance that suits you) if you want to try something a bit different which gets you out of normal 🥰 You could actually pretty much make this challenge about absolutely anything - like doing 10push ups every 4hours? Or quality time with the kids/partner for 30mins every 4hours (during the day of course), or have a healthy snack every 4hours, the choices are endless 👌🔥💪 . . . #fitness #nzfitness #fitnessnz #challenge #48hourchallenge #goggins #goals #health #fitclub

My go to oats at the moment consist of 30g oats, 250ml of almond milk, 1/2 a mashed banana, cinnamon and a pinch of salt cooked in a pot until creamy - then served with mixed berries and my oat seed sprinkle (and sometimes crunchy peanut butter too) 😍💫 such a great way to start the day , gives you the energy you need to get through your mornings and tasks you find yourself doing 🙌🏼 I’m obsessed 😅 especially with the creamy texture it’s so delicious 😋

The butterfly effect is a tale I want to share to help you start something you dream of doing. The tale is based on how a butterfly flapping its wings might just cause a hurricane far, far away over time. The idea is that one tiny thing can lead to a gust of wind... and it can eventually build to a powerful wind... then a hurricane.... So, what I’m on about here is that a small step is how you start.
