Thank you @usweekly , for helping create a movement. 👌🏼
Recently, they reposted something from the "dude with a sign" guy (or whatever his name is), supporting his anti-home workout sign. Normally I wouldn't say anything, and I would bite my tongue because I don't like to engage in negativity. But I have to speak up.
Look. I'm sorry...but if you don't like me or others posting about something that makes them happy, feel good about themselves, and hope to inspire others to do and feel the same, there's an 𝘶𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸/𝘶𝘯𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 button. .
Working out at home has literally changed my life. It’s given me 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚. And millions of others! Working out in gyms has also done the same for other people! Inspiring others to take care of themselves, ESPECIALLY during this time, should be celebrated, not criticized.
And now there's a movement started for ANYONE to do...this Saturday, EVERYONE is invited to do "The Big Sweat Saturday" and post about it with the hashtag #bigsweatsaturday. Whatever platform you're using, even walking and running, ROCK IT. Move your body. Celebrate the fact that you CAN move your body. And cheer others on in the process. Want to “meet” up to workout? I’ll do it with you!
See you then! ✌🏼 And keep posting those at-home workouts 🙌🏼
