I shop at a big supermarket that has a loyalty programme.
For everything you buy you get points that keep adding up.
When you’ve spent 50k you get a N500 voucher to buy anything.
So naturally I like shopping there because the tiny points are important to me 😁
Yes I have to shop up to 100k before I get a N1000 voucher but still 😂
Anyway, I had a fantasy that went thus:
1. What if the reward was a little bigger? As in I didn’t have to buy that much to get just N500?
2. What if I actually got money back that I could spend elsewhere, instead of a voucher I could only spend in the supermarket?
3. How nice would it be if they had a referral programme and I could talk to my friends to shop there and that would add to my own points?
Obviously none of this was going to happen, so I’d return to reality after enjoying my fantasy a little 😆
Only for me to find out that there’s a company (not a supermarket) that offers all of these things! 😮
I couldn’t believe my ears.
I switch my brand and get points for everything I buy.
I introduce others, they switch their brand, and I get points too just as they do.
Points that convert to actual cash!
I was like, what? “Is there a compulsory monthly purchase? Do I have to buy a particular amount monthly to qualify?” No, buy what you need whenever you need it and your points keep growing forever. Wawu!
As a #SmartConsumer I knew what I had to do.
Now, my supermarket only sees me for the things my beloved brand doesn’t have.
As for shampoo, soap, toothpaste, body wash, hand cream, lotion, pads, pantyliners, deodorant, etc?
Hasta la vista, baby! 👋🤣 This #richmum right here is a loyal member of the #SmartConsumersClub 🤸♀️
