Our hearts are shattered over the loss of my Bro-in-law, and the wife he left behind, my sweet “shishi” Natashia with their three precious babies Nico, Luca and Eli. Billy was the first “bro-in-law” I had, affectionately calling him “Binder” from the day we met (a silly inside joke). Over the years, our shared love for the Dallas Cowboys, teasing Natashia together and the guest-bedroom that he deemed MY room while always carrying my oversized suitcase/shopping bags to, brought us closer together and will forever bring a smile to my face in his memory. He always welcomed me into their home and put up with my annual Thanksgiving trips + multiple additional visits through the years. He was always kind enough to indulge my ideas for excursions to sports games (especially the Leafs games that I’m convinced he grew to enjoy), rodeos, wacky restaurants, San Antonio in the blistering heat and even all the fried foods of the Texas State fair; never letting me feel like anything less than a sister. His quiet humour, strong demeanour and his sweet smile made him a man that you admired and enjoyed his company. He always had a quick witted remark and an unparalleled kindness for any situation. What stands out most about Billy though, is how much he loved and dedicated his everything to Nat and the boys. While it’s hard to wrap our minds around what has happened, I will remember my brother-in-law Binder fondly for who he was and how he loved his family. I hope I can do everything I’m able to help my Nat move forward with their boys. She, Nico, Luca and Eli meant the world to him and we will all be there to take care of them now. Sending so much love to the Butels. 💔💔💔 Billy will never be forgotten and forever loved. I’m gonna go drink a monster for him now in his memory. #RIP Binder.
