𝘗𝘙𝘖𝘊𝘙𝘈𝘚𝘛𝘐𝘕𝘈𝘛𝘐𝘖𝘕 𝘐𝘚 𝘖𝘜𝘙 𝘍𝘈𝘝𝘖𝘜𝘙𝘐𝘛𝘌 𝘍𝘖𝘙𝘔 𝘖𝘍 𝘚𝘌𝘓𝘍 𝘚𝘈𝘉𝘖𝘛𝘈𝘎𝘌.
𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘵 𝘴𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 - 𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥 + 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨. I was called lazy by important women in my life, I was misunderstood by my husband + I felt so exhausted from trying, only to let myself down time and time again.
That’s right! Procrastination isn’t just about exams + deadlines, it’s MUCH more complex than that and we need to be clear on how INTENSELY it can get in the way of our lives - both professionally + personally!
𝐌𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡, 𝐦𝐲 𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬, 𝐦𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲, 𝐦𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐦𝐲 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲, 𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡.
𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 - 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬 + 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 - 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥.
Coaching helped me peel back the layers + recognise how 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬. It allowed me to recognise that my fear of failure, overwhelm, perfectionism + anxiety made me feel so disconnected from my future self - the woman who achieved her goals because she believed she could.
Now, I am more in control of my weight, home + fertility, anxiety is no longer consuming me, I do a job I love + my relationship with my husband has blossomed more than I could ever have imagined (Mashaa’Allah + Alhumdulilah 💙)
