All my life, I’ve struggled with my weight. All throughout high school & college, my weight fluctuated. I never felt 100% because I became extremely self-conscious. On December 6, 2019, I visited my doctor and had my annual physical exam. I got my results a week later and she told me I am 0.01% away from being diabetic. After hearing the news, I rapidly altered my life around. It’s unfortunate that I waited for such news to do so, but at this point, my health is at high risk. I had to do something about it and make it a habitual life style. A month and a half later and I’m 15 pounds down! I have a long way to go and I can’t wait to share my story with you all! “Fast food” doesn’t have to look like McDonalds or Taco Bell. I started the 8-week challenge with my ladies. Being mindful of portions, eating better food, drinking water, moving my body. this is really a vulnerable one for me 😪 — growing up overweight creates a weird relationship w/ your body. i’ve had a tummy for as long as I can remember and it’s always been something i’ve been ashamed/embarrassed of, but enough is enough. skin is skin. — I don’t even have pictures of how my stomach looked from when I started this journey because I was so ashamed of myself. I didn’t take pictures with my stomach out until about 8 months into losing weight. I go as far as avoiding showing it when changing in front of my friends. this is the first time i’ve shown it on this account. — losing 70 lbs doesn’t mean my stomach is going to magically disappear, but i’m genuinely shocked to see it’s gotten smaller. when I look in the mirror, I don’t see that is has, but wow. Getting healthy doesn’t have to be expensive! You don’t have to spend 💰💰💰 on gym equipment, meal delivery services, and personal trainers! Yes, those work for some (and I’ve done them all before) but don’t forget that there are cheap and free options too! . . I just got this 8 pound medicine ball and disc slides from Target for $5 each. . ▪️You could also use a water jug (weigh it on your scale to know how heavy it is) and towels. . ▪️Go for a walk outside instead of on a treadmill. ▪️Use @fitnessblender workouts from YouTube at home. ▪️Make your own meals and include more veggies . ▪️Workout in your pajamas instead of name brand workout gear . There are options for everyone, you just need to find what works for you! . I used to do a squat each time I pushed my kids on the swing, did 20 of something during commercials while watching tv (jumping jacks, push ups, crunches, etc.)... just adding in little things to my normal day helped! . Many of us accept winter as a time when we sleep more, crave carbs, "hibernate" indoors, and experience the winter blahs. We all slow down somewhat during this time of year, but for some people, symptoms like these are caused by what is known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a form of temporary depression that affects as many as 20 percent of Americans during fall and winter. Below I will tell you more about how to know whether you are suffering from SAD and how to successfully combat it so you can start feeling happier and more energized. For starters, SAD is most common among people with low vitamin D3 levels, so it makes sense that getting more vitamin D3 is one of the most effective ways to treat SAD. In the winter months, most people need to double their supplementation of vitamin D3 to maintain a healthy mood and immune function. This is because food sources contain very little vitamin D3. Besides vitamin D3, we also need more B vitamins, especially B6 to help increase Serotonin levels in the brain, preventing winter blahs. An ideal vitamin D3 level is well above 60 ng/mL, despite what your doctor might tell you. Diet is another important strategy you can use to reduce seasonal depression symptoms. Even though you may crave processed and refined sugars in winter, they negatively impact mental health. Best to include whole, unrefined grains such as sweet potatoes, purple potatoes, black rice, brown rice, etc. Include these healthy starches at dinner time, while minimizing your protein intake at dinner. Gym✅ I was able to catch a Zumba class this morning...woohoo!! If you see me in a Zumba class, I'm usually laughing thru the whole class at myself... I'm really not coordinated and I often look absolutely ridiculous and am rarely on beat with everyone else but I enjoy it and it's a good workout! What’s my favorite exercise?? That would be deadlifts for sure 💯💯💯 though to be fully honest, I haven’t done this for a while and my form isn’t where I wished it was but hey, I’m fucking doing it so I don’t give a flying fart. As long as I show up, I can always improve and get better. It’s when I’m not there that I won’t improve and I won’t change. I know it’s the end of January and we’re all getting a bit tired but this is the moment to push through. It’s these moments where the most changes. Remember why you started and never ever let yourself quit because all you would be doing is quitting on yourself and your future. So don’t do that! 90 Transformation Uptade: . In the left picture I was about 205 with roughly 20% body fat. In the right I’m weighting 195 not to sure on body fat percentage. . . 💎What I’m I doing? I adjusted my calorie intake for the day and I do my workout routines I designed. I work out 5 days a week for about 60 minutes a day. I personally don’t do cardio machines. . . 😰 You don’t have to spend hours and hours in the gym to get a good physic. Unfortunately some people think that the more hours you spend at the gym, the quicker the results will come. It doesn’t work like that. . 🦾It’s about quality training, every workout routine you do needs to have a purpose towards your goal. . 🏃🏽You will never outrun/out train bad nutrition and 💤 sleep. I know many have heard that a million times...... Because it’s true! . . 💊 I personally don’t take Any supplements but that’s your choice. I simple eat around 3-4 home 🏠 cook meals a day. I also juice 🥤 my veggies to get more nutrients. Every weekend I do eat out 🍔 🌭 🍟 🍩🌮 every food 🥘 in moderation won’t make you gain weight over night. . . The main thing is always being patient, consistent and focus on your eating habits.

It is crazy to think 4 months and 5 days ago I was carrying a baby in there! I was feeling her kicks and ready to meet her. I was 50lbs heavier than when I became pregnant, weighing in at 174lbs. I was heavy, swollen, and exhausted. ▫️ What a beautiful journey it has been working on my health and working out almost daily. It gives me energy. It boosts my mood. It helps me be a better mom. An amazing by product of that is weight loss and muscle definition. When I started working out at 4 weeks PP I was weighing in at 159.9lbs. Now I am 139.1lbs. In just 76 workouts I have dropped over 20lbs. I still have at least 10lbs more to go. But I am so excited for it! ▫️ If you love what you do you’ll never work a day in your life! I love working out and being healthy. But even more than that I love helping others do the same. When you take control of your health you end up taking control of your life. The most amazing transformations happen when you eat healthy, work out, work on your mindset, and spend time around positive people. Your whole life will change. I love being able to facilitate a place where women come together virtually to support each other on this journey. I love how my life has changed and I love seeing how it has changed others. ▫️ I don’t know where you are in life if you want to lose weight, transform your health, change your mindset, find a tribe of supportive women, find a way to earn money for your family, or all of that; but I know I can help you! SENSITIVE BELLY'S REJOICE! @fairlife just released their new LACTOSE FREE coffee creamers and boy am I excited to talk about this one.😁😀😁 I drink Fairlife milk so naturally this intrigued me instantly. . . . Coffee with creamer is a must for me but it's not always so good to me. Any creamer I have tried, even the natural bliss kind, doesn't do so well on my stomach. In the middle of drinking my cup, I instantly feel like I ate something bad. BUT THIS MORNING Y'ALL! 🙌🙌🙌 I had my cup of coffee and a hour later I am STILL not having pains. It's ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. . 💬The creamer by itself is not as creamy as most but that's to be expected since it's made with only 5 ingredients, one being Non-fat ultra-filtered Milk. The sweetness stands out more than the cream and that's fine by me. And it is gentle on the tummy. That in itself is the most amazing thing for someone who tortures themselves every morning like me just to enjoy a simple cup of coffee with cream. . Happpppy Friday 🎉 - - Ever had a week where it seems like nothing can go right?? - - That was pretty much my whole week 😂 - - I can laugh about it now because I’m off for the next 3 days (thanks boss 😜) but man it’s been a helllluva week over here. Felt like I couldn’t do anything right. Couldn’t sleep. Everything was getting on my nerves. Not the best attitude. - - But today I wake up and I’m drinking my coffee and I’m thankful. - - Thankful for my people being patient with me. They all me the reassurance and extra love when needed. - - Yeah, we all have off days. Or maybe even an off week 🤷🏼‍♀️ But the good news is, it can’t last forever. It’s up to you to change your attitude and make the necessary adjustments to make it better. - - No one else can make you happy.
