Got shit done today & absorbed a whole lot of Vitamin D🌱 I dug up an area using a hack-axe for 2 hours to prep for new grass plus created a home studio at the top of my garden ( Kettlebells &medicine balls up carried up steep stairs)☀️ Point is... It’s equally, if not more important, look at your Non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT). This is the energy expended for everything you do when we’re not sleeping or exercising (hence the “non-exercise”). Mowing the lawn, gardening, cleaning, paining etc They all burn calories, and more than we would expect. I realised I don't have a photo from the last day of the challenge so this was our week as a whole. The challenge for day 5 was to share something that makes you laugh. Laughter is important because it reduces stress. And as stress reduces immunity it's vital we do all we can to manage our stress right now. I also wanted to convey that even when times are difficult, it's ok to laugh. It can be easy to feel as though it's inappropriate to enjoy life while others are suffering but then we just contribute to the amount of suffering in the world. We can feel compassion for others and still feel grateful for what we have to enjoy. It's been an amazing week and I thoroughly enjoyed. I haven’t always had 𝘢𝘯𝘹𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺, I don’t really know when it started. ⁣ ⠀⠀⁣ It comes and catches me off guard most of the time, other times I know it’s coming cause of something that has happened. ⁣ ⠀⠀⁣ I worry about everything so much more than I let on. And that’s the issue right, I’m so good at hiding how I feel that I’m now really good at bottling it up. ⁣ ⠀⠀⁣ Yes I meditate, do excercise, do yoga, eat well, but this is just part of me and that’s ok. ⁣ ⠀⠀⁣ I’m learning to deal with the things that aren’t worth my worry and putting more time on the things that are. ⁣ ⠀⠀⁣ Today it’s about self isolation and how to deal with that now with Matt gone. Stress can impact the skin negatively, so it critical to set aside some time to relax and unwind. 🛀 Your skincare routine should be something you look forward to every day, your few minutes of bliss and peace. 🧖‍♀️ So the first step is to take some time to review what products you are currently using, and what products have been sitting in your cabinet for way too long. Throw out anything that's been opened for more than 6 months, and check use by dates on everything else. If there is no use by date, general rule of thumb is that most products should have a shelf life of two years. Next, make a list of what you need, or what skin goals you're after. There is only one thing we all need to do right now: be kind to ourselves and look after our minds. ❤️ So today rather than work all day to rebuild the Spring/Summer business this virus wiped out, I spent over 4 hrs mowing and hacking and trimming and raking ... until my hands hurt ... creating a garden where my kids can hang out with their grandma where she feels safest. 4 hrs of outdoor exercise without going out. YOU. ARE. ENOUGH. Three simple words that mean the most. That YOU, in your skin, in your natural state, in simply being...are ENOUGH. You do not need to change or shape yourself into becoming something that you’re not just because you believe it’s what’s accepted in today’s world. Pushing away every mistake, blemish or bruise. It happens. We live and we learn. We’re not perfect. Do not beat yourself up over these things. It’s in the past. Move forward and stay far away from self doubt, it’s filled with lies. You’re here for a reason. I personally am still learning each and every day to believe those three words. I’ve experienced mental and physical abuse so I know how extremely tough it can be to find and love your inner soul and let it shine. As soon as you make your well being a priority, I’m telling you, the game will change and you’ll wonder why you let yourself feel belittled by others. Remember YOU. ARE. ENOUGH. Self destructive coping strategies : often something people with overwhelming emotions fall back on when they are in emotional pain. This is very understandable because you may want to extinguish those feelings, or have a lot of ‘ bad adrenaline’ you don’t know what to do with... but these cause spirals of suffering. The first thing to do is NOTICE them and want to change them. 💜 here are some examples and the negative effects they may have on you. Maybe think about if you do any of these and keep reminding yourself of suffering they cause ( which you DON’T deserve!) 💜 we may feel we are stuck in these habits forever, but we can retrain the brain. It’s not easy, but we can learn new skills ( distracting and self soothing) to replace these. This will keep the suffering to a minimum 💜

What it means is it's time to push harder and keep pushing until you make it! • Keep pushing, keep grinding and keep your mind focused exclusively on where you want to go and why you have to get there! • Your current situation and circumstances don't define you So don't allow them to rule your thoughts and make you believe that's all you are capable of. • You are capable of much more than even you realise, so keep pushing and keep grinding away because one day you will be right where you always wanted to be! • Failure is not an option, that's why you got to keep pushing...don't you dare stop or even think about giving up! • I know you got this! When we're stressed hormones like cortisol flood our systems, producing the "fight or flight response" in which our heart rate goes up, we breathe more heavily (requiring more oxygen) and our blood vessels constrict. This can contribute to chronic conditions like hypertension and headaches, as well as mental health concerns like depression and anxiety disorders. What's more, stress can make existing conditions like asthma, irritable bowel syndrome and insomnia worse. But, the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine reports that just as we have a stress response, we also have a "relaxation response" during which your breathing slows, your blood pressure decreases and you even use less oxygen. Progressive Muscle Relaxation: Start with your toes and work your way up - tighten your foot muscles as much as you can, then relax them. Make your way up, tightening and relaxing each muscle until you’ve finished with your face. It may seem silly, but this practice can help reduce anxiety and stress and is often recommended to patients who suffer from depression and anxiety disorders.
