@ calculatedrisque: It's In Our DNA... -
There use to be hesitancy as I figured out how to build a business while inserting my 3 sons (my "little" one is not pictured) into this formula while I figured out how to create it. They have seen me at all times lows, they have witnessed me staying the course, they have felt my stress and last year they understood the process as did I. It clicked, for us all! However, this is no surprise!
It's in our DNA...
My childhood consisted of public speaking at a "church"and pushing bible tracts (sales). Like really selling Jesus is a tough sell! Selling it at 5 well damn! -
My "babysitter" was my Aunt Babe who was the town's seamstress where I witnessed business transactions amongst some of the most influential church women in a suburb of Illinois.
My dad had a small computer business where he did upgrades on hardware and did electric mechanic side work while working for the state's electric company as a well paid blue collar worker.
My mom who grew up on my great grandfather's farm in the boot heel of Missouri and had me working in our family's cleaning business where we had major contracts with factories, a well known construction company and car dealership in Kankakee! I hated it as all teenagers hate everything.
My 20s welp *MidwestVoice* let's just say I joined every network marketing group for the upgraded skin care (I was obsessed with age), I had a booking agency and became interested in the Cannabis Culture as it became more legal in Cali.
Today, I'm more confident that having my son's involved is a gift I'm giving them. It's the gift of taking a skill set, calculating its value and the monetization of it! Now we scale & grow.
Family business...It's in our DNA.
